Episode 79: "But On Tablets of Human Hearts" Discussion from the Sermon in Ep. 78
In this thought-provoking episode of The Timeless Gospel, Joy is joined by her husband and frequent guest, Daniel, to explore the often misunderstood role of the Law in the life of a believer.
Together, they unpack a foundational truth: the Law plays no role in our justification or sanctification—it cannot make us more accepted by the Father. And yet, the Law serves a profound purpose.
Described as the transcript of God's holy character, the Law reveals the standard of justice and goodness for all creation, both for believers and non-believers. It reflects God's nature and gives the world a glimpse of His righteousness.
For the Christian, however, our eyes are not fixed on the Law itself but on the Lawgiver. In Christ, we find the fulfillment of the Law and the One who inspires our obedience. He is the beauty we behold, the standard we follow—not to earn favor, but from devotion.
Ultimately, we live not by the letter of the Law but in relationship with the One who is our all in all.
